We love the work of the fabulous and talented event producer Bronson van Wyck. In his 20's, the Groton and Yale-educated designer gave up a career in diplomacy to pursue party-planning. His extensive portfolio tells us he made the right choice!
Salah Taher remains as one of the most prolific artists of Egypt and the greater Middle East. Among his many posts and appointments, he was head of Cairo's Modern Art Museum, supervisor of the Luxor Atelier, and director of the Cairo Opera House in the 1960's. He is also the only Arab artist to have his work displayed on the walls of the White House (bought by then-president Richard Nixon).
We especially love his signature fluidly mysterious female figures...
The woman behind this idea is Terri Silacci, who uses old discarded snakeskin that snakes shed naturally.
After applying a base color, Terri cuts up the snakeskin into the appropriate size and shape, and seals it onto the nails with Bio Sculpture Gel. Results can last anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks!
We love the work of Egyptian artist Mohamed Abla. He captures the spirit of daily Egyptian life so eloquently, we can only let the images speak for themselves..
